This is a great paper.

This summer we (the Consent and Information Sharing WG) are working with UMA on the Consent Receipt which is an open consent format that can be used to bind legal obligations to the UMA protocol.

The Open Consent: consent receipt is intended to be a meta format that we have been engineering to act as bridge between the business, social, legal and technical layers of authorisation and personal data control. Effectively we are aiming to engineer the thin edge of the wedge to open control of My Data.

The aim is to open policy data so that people can manage consent themselves independently of companies and organisations, not just for identity management but for legacy systems. There are a lot of companies that are worried that people will withdraw consent if given the chance and we are looking at ways for people to update their consent with UMA which will enable user managed and even controlled access to data.

This paper illustrates not only a great visions but what looks like the next generation of what My Open Data ecosystem should look like. Soon we will have an alpha receipt generator and we will be looking to make scenarios and get feedback on this. If anyone is interested in working on this please get in touch.

Great Job,

Mark
