Join us on Saturday 10th May for the ORG Scotland Discussion Day!
http://www.meetup.com/ORG-Edinburgh/events/177056802/
ORG is fundraising to hire a member of staff in Scotland to deal with devolved digital rights campaigns.

You probably have lots of questions about what an ORG Scotland office would look like and why we think it's important. That's why we're holding an open discussion day, to get your perspective on what we should be doing.

 What's happening:

There'll be an introductory panel on digital rights with Jim Killock and Charles Stross, followed by break-out sessions to discuss issues such as:

Scottish Entitlement cards: ID cards by the back door?
Data sharing in Scotland
Child support or child surveillance? Children’s databases
Supporting the IT sector in Scotland
The independence debate and digital rights: what do we need to ask?
UK and EU policy: what does Scotland need to be arguing for?
Where: Informatics Forum, 10 Crichton Street, Edinburgh, EH8 9AB
When: Saturday, May 10, 2014
Time: 12:30 PM to 6:00 PM
How much: Free

Whatever the result of the referendum our job is to protect your digital rights.
There are limited spaces for the event, so please sign up to say you will be attending, and keep an eye out for more details.

To help our campaign to start ORG Scotland, please do join or increase your support, as well as coming along, to ensure that together we can create a voice for digital rights in Scotland.
I look forward to seeing you there.

Thanks and best wishes,

Jim Killock
Executive Director
