Hi all,
Probably/hopefully most people on this list feel somewhat strongly about
digital rights policy. If you don't, or aren't planning to vote on the
22nd, you can stop reading now.
https://www.wepromise.eu/en provides a ten-point digital rights charter
that politicians can pledge to support. It includes things about privacy,
surveillance, censorship and net neutrality. The website also lists the
candidates who have already pledged to support it.
So far the only candidate for Scotland who has signed it is Alyn Smith
(SNP). If you have another preferred candidate in the elections, I would
advocate tweeting/emailing/etc them to suggest they should support it.
Happy voting!
Amy
