Just to say thank you to those of you that have got in touch and given me feedback so far.

This is a final reminder to people that the survey is due to close this week. We'll be holding online forums next week so it would be excellent to get some of you involved in that as well.

As a bit of background / reminder: Cambridgeshire Insight<http://www.cambridgeshireinsight.org.uk/> has been awarded a grant of £64k to improve how and what we provide as open data and are currently deciding what data we should treat as a priority - and how people think we should present this data. As users of data it would be helpful if you could get involved - what data do you feel should be made available as a priority, and how? We are welcoming all suggestions in for what datasets we could begin working with.

There are a number of ways you can get involved:

· Online survey - which can be accessed here: http://tinyurl.com/CIODsurvey

· Discussion group on LinkedIn - the group is called Cambridgeshire Insight Open Data<http://www.linkedin.com/groups?home=&gid=7442072&trk=anet_ug_hm>

· Online live discussion forums - contact louise.meats at cambrdgeshire.gov.uk<mailto:louise.meats at cambrdgeshire.gov.uk> to get involved.

As an aside, I'd like to recommend taking a look at Cambridgeshire Insight even if you are not interested in taking part in this project. It has a plethora of information on Cambridgeshire within it - shared not just in slightly stoic spreadsheets but also through various data visualisation methods - let us know what you think!

Subject: Cambridgeshire Open Data Consultation Help

Hi All

If anyone has experience or interest in local government data, Cambridgeshire County Council have been given a grant to explore opening up some data and someone I know is leading the project and looking for input so I thought I'd pass on the info!

Per Louise Meats, Senior Research Officer:

"We've been awarded a grant to improve how and what we provide as open data and are currently deciding what data we should treat as a priority - and what people think an OD platform should look like.

Please come get involved - and spread the word to anyone you think could be interested. We'll also be holding a few online discussion groups for people to get involved in.

There is a survey link above, but I have cc'd Louise in case anyone can get in touch directly with useful contacts for her and/or pointers/advice/suggestions. Being pretty focused on scientific data, this isn't my area of expertise but I hoped someone on the OKFN England list might have more insight, especially if any of you are from or have contacts and colleagues in Cambridgeshire who might be interested in accessing and using open data.
Thanks very much for your help!
Jenny
