I am Stefano Costa, coordinator of the Working Group on Open Data in
Archaeology at the Open Knowledge Foundation. I am a PhD student in
archaeology at the University of Siena.

My interests with this working group (out of the specific domain of
archaeology) are in user-generated heritage content, dissemination of
digital material from museums and archives, and in general a wider
outreach for cultural heritage among the public. There is an increasing
gap between specialist studies and public heritage - an open approach
(following well-known practices, at least well-known for people here)
may help in filling the gap.

Ciao,
Stefano
