Dear all,

A happy 2015 to all of you!

We kick off the year with a new blog in our Curator's Choice series on
Autochromes from the Te Papa collection. Lissa Mitchell, Curator of
Historical Documentary Photography at the Museum of New Zealand Te Papa
Tongarewa, explores the work of three photographers creating autochromes in
early 20th-century New Zealand. Read the full post at:

Inspired by this blog, DigitalNZ has created an Autochromes set of the
collection, plus some newspaper articles from the time discussing the new
photographic process. You can find this at

All these photographs are openly licensed and available for download from
Te Papa.

Best regards, Lieke Ploeger.
