Dear all,
This week the Open Education Working Group <http://education.okfn.org/>
will be publishing a series of blog posts Illustrating the diversity of
Open Education as part of Open Education Week #openeducationwk activities.
The first of these is on using open data in teaching as a form of an
Open Educational Resource (OER) and has been written by Javiera Atenas
(UCL), Leo Havemann (Birbeck) and Ernesto Priego (City).

"/There is a general consensus that open data is becoming an invaluable
resource for the research and scientific communities, as it supports and
encourages more transparent research practices, supports scientific
development and reproducibility, and it can be a model of good and open
research practices in academia/."
The post is an exciting thought piece which introduces some interesting
ideas that we hope will be expanded on in the future. Please do feel
free to comment on the post and/or take the linked survey in order to
support the team with their research.
Another post for you tomorrow!
