Today I had a talk with Hal, Takuya, Hagino and Takano at OKF Japan about
their plans for the upcoming City Spending Data
Party<http://openspending.org/blog/2013/06/30/spending-data-party-announce.html>.
It was great to hear how much has already been scheduled!
OKF Japan will create another round of city sites with Where Does My Money
Go visualisations, which will bring the total number of Japan WDMMG-cities
to 19! I believe the most recently created site is for
Suita<http://suita.spending.jp/>
.
We decided to set up a *Spending Party
sprint<https://github.com/openspending/openspending/issues?milestone=24&state=open>
* with improvements and issues to be fixed before and during the spending
party.
Here is how you can *contribute *to the sprint:
* simply *assign yourself to an issue* in the sprint or add one of the
*unsolved
issues<https://github.com/openspending/openspending/issues?labels=&milestone=&page=1&state=open>
* that you want to work on during the sprint
* if you want to help *review the code from this
sprint<http://openspending.org/help/code-review.html>
* or want to help in other ways just get in touch via the dev. mailing list
Big thanks to Hal and the entire OKF Japan for taking initiative to this
and for helping with light support managing the sprint!
Anders
